Christmas is around the corner...
Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas is around the corner. I am the type of person that gets very excited about Christmas. When I see all the decorations and smiles from kids and hear Christmas music it just brings a smile to my face. The weekend after Thanksgiving Jason and I got the itch to get the tree up, lights strung, and decorations up. My Grandma surprised us with a beautiful ornament for the tree that really touched our hearts, it was the first ornament that went on the tree, top center.
We are so excited, our first Christmas as a married couple in our new house with our two beautiful boys. :-) Can't get much better than that.
So we got the tree up but we kept noticing that bulbs would come up missing off the tree. Well last night we found the culprit.
It is cheeto, our ornery kitty. He plays with the bulbs till they fall off the tree, then he gathered them in one corner in the great room. What a goofy kitty. And if I didn't know better I bet Kane and Griffin might of had a part in it...lol... coharts in crime...hehe

Thanksgiving Day
On Thanksgiving Day Mommy stayed home with us and Daddy went to work. Mommy was taking pictures of us and playing with us all morning, we had so much fun.
Mommy put these funny things on our head and we didn't know why. I think they were toys strapped to our heads, so we chased each other around trying to play with each others toys.
That was lots of fun.
Grandma gave Mommy the bandannas we are wearing, we like them a lot. Personally we both think we look handsome. :-)
So we were posing pretty for Mommy so she could get some handsome pics of us. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with Mommy.

The Dog Fence
After much deciding, we decided to go with the RedBrand Dog fencing, and we got it up this weekend. Now the boys can run and play as they please. It sure beats using their tieouts. Our 50ft. tieout kept coming unknotted from Kanes collar, and he got loose a few times. I am very thankful that he stuck around, but after that, we decided it was time to get a fence up and quick.
So my brother and I worked on the dog fence all weekend, while Jason and his Dad worked on the horse fence. The good news is that we got the dog fence all done, but the horse fence still has alot of work yet to do, before we can get the horses out there.
Today when I went home for lunch, I let the boys outside to play, they had so much fun, I had a hard time trying to get them back it. Its so wonderful to be able to let them run and play as they please.

Meet the Dog Sitter!!
We are taking a short vacation over Christmas break and about 6 months ago I was discussing this with my hairstylest. Well she referred me to a dog sitter that lived in town. So I called up about about 1 1/2 months ago and she told me that she would love to watch them, but she would like to meet them first. So I called her up when we got back from the honeymoon and thought it would be a good time to go take a visit. She told me that she had two kids, a boy and a girl, and she wanted to make sure they all got along just fine.
So we went over to her house, which is a big beautiful house in town, with a huge backyard. We walked up to the front door and she welcomed all of us into her house. At first we all stayed in one big family room to see how they would react. They ran around with there tail wagging and got along with the kids just wonderfully. So at that point we opened up the door to the whole house. We all sat down in the tv room while Griffin and Kane explored. Ellen (the dogsitter) showed Griffin and Kane were the bedrooms where and the back door to go the bathroom. Ellen was running around the house deciding on all of the things that she has to move and change to better suit the boys, I thought that was so awsome. She even said that they could sleep in her bed. Another great thing, is that she works at the local vet clinic, so if there is any emergencys, she won't have any problems getting them help right away.
I was a bit sceptical about leaving our boys with anyone, but they all got along wonderfully, she seems like a super person, they all just clicked. And I ended up finding out that my family and Jason knows her family. So I am sooo excited that we were blessed to find her. She will be so perfect for them, when/if we take a vacation. They played so much at the dogsitters, the only thing they wanted to do when they got home is sleep. Don't think I could have handpicked a better person to take of our boys. :-)

Visit to the Vet!!!
Yesterday we woke up and noticed that Griffin's eye was very irretated. So we made an appointment with the vets for yesterday afternoon. Griffin got a total eye examination. We came to the conclusion that it was just allergies and also has and ear infection. So now he is on eye and ear drops. Poor guy...
We also weighed Griffin and Kane while we were there. Griffin at 11 months weighs 110 lbs and Kane at 8 months weighs 125 lbs. We were also informed that Kane needs a little more exercise.
So all in all we had a pretty good check-up at the vets. What a relief!!!

Honeymoon In Telluride Colorado!!!
For the honeymoon we went to Colorado and it was just breathtaking. We stayed in a cabin in the mountains called "See Forever Cottage" and it was just beautiful. The people that owned the cabin just spoiled us, they wrote us cute little notes, brought us deserts, chocolates, and all sorts of sweet little things that meant so much.
We went horse back riding in the mountains, site seeing, hiking, and lots of shopping... :-) We had a smooth trip there and back with only 1 1/2 hour lay over in Denver, which is a HUGE airport. It wasn't bad at all, each time we had a layover it was supper time, so we just ate our supper and got on our flight. So everything went very smoothly.
My brother took care of our boys "Griffin & Kane", he did a wonderful job, even to our surprise he cleaned our house for us while we were gone. Griffin and Kane were sooooo happy to see us, and we were overjoyed to see them. Now they both have a special connections to Josh (my brother) :-)
We got back to the house 3:00 a.m. on Saturday and woke up at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, because I was real excited to get to town and change my id so I am now officially Mrs. Shaw. :-)
